Doug was born in Toronto in the early 60's . He began playing pool as a young teenager and has stuck with the sport ever since. Maturing into a keen player, Doug has joined leagues, first in Saskatchewan and now BC. He competes in tournaments in Kamloops at the Executive Club, Kelowna at the new Breakers, and Vancouver at Guys & Dolls. He has played in Vegas in team competion and loves to see the trade shows.

Doug decided to make a cue for himself after his were stolen. He loved working with wood, so why not try a cue?
Another of Doug's natural abilities are his skills with math. He is gifted at doing those scientific calculations without the calculator type stuff. This is a wonderful asset in cue design and construction. Of course, computers do this now for the mass produced cue. Doug does it himself. He also holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology which keeps him at his day job.
In the last seven years, Doug has turned out over 50 custom cues. Doug has been producing break / jump cues and jumpers. The jumpers have been very popular using a specially created tip he developed a few years ago. Doug recently created a jumper with a butt cap turned from antler.
